Evolution & Future
The Starting Point
International Sharing School provides a nurturing environment to care for our babies and foundations students. Our teachers listen and communicate with parents to ensure both the child’s and parent’s needs are met. We are attentive to your baby as important milestones are reached, such as learning to roll over, crawl, walk, smile, babble, and wave hello!
International Sharing School teachers used the IB principles to develop an environment where your baby learns through educational concepts, social interactions, play, and new experiences.
The authentic assessment tools created by our experienced and dedicated teachers ensure all children are meeting developmentally appropriate milestones as they introduce new activities for learning.
“We develop our babies into autonomous, secure, curious children, ready to follow other paths, confident in the “marks” we leave.”
– Ana Filipa Cruz, Coordinator of Foundations Programme in Oeiras Valley
Curriculum
The Daily Shcedule
Our Babies and Foundations daily schedules provide nurturing routines with balanced activities, rest, and play, supporting each child’s growth in a secure and joyful environment tailored to their developmental needs.
The babies’ classroom provides many opportunities to stimulate and nurture their minds allowing each child to rest and recharge. Babies determine their schedules- there is no such thing as a “typical day” in the babies’ classroom! As your baby matures, we guide each child towards a more structured and organised schedule to provide consistent feeding and rest times.

Evolution & Future
Applying Learning to the child(ren)
We aim to promote high-quality education where teachers come first as the learning facilitators with the passion, enthusiasm and knowledge to allow every child to shine in their light in a stimulating and differentiated environment.
Following this unique concept, students during the Foundation Programme will benefit from a more private, close environment where basic social skills will be developed, fostering curiosity and respect.
As they continue developing, their working environment will expand, allowing students to learn from and with each other.
Interaction, cooperation, curiosity, empathy, care, and enjoyment are constant elements of this working space whose ultimate goal is to promote a comfortable and creative functional area where transdisciplinarity and creation will complement the rich IB Framework our school offers.
Babies & Foundations
The Classrooms
Foundation Programme is for the youngest children (0-3 years) who require special attention and a lot of care from adults. These children are still heavily dependent on help during their first meeting with the world of school.
The organisation of the Foundation Programme Classrooms maintains a high percentage of care spaces with a focus on creating a sense of security, belonging and comfort. The environment will give great opportunities for play and exploration with a focus on Body & Mind, providing comfortable spaces for naps.
